That's very exciting! I am hopeful they will carry a wide variety of seafood. I'm tired of driving to Columbia to get Boston scrod or a good lobster. And if they could see their way clear to adding some items like tofutti and dairy alternatives, that would save me a trip to David's in Columbia (or Roots in Clarksville) too!

Mr. Witzke - We all know that you worked very hard to find a restaurant that would help drive people to Ship's. We know that you even offered him to use your parking. He fought you all the way. It looks like Ship's crab shack is about to get its due. We stopped eating there last year. And can't wait for the new Gourmet Market to open. TD

I am so excited. With all the buzz about eating locally, I truely am hopful that they intend to offer a wide variety of Chesapeak seafood. I was at Tersigels the other night wanting MD oysters (it is oyster season) and they said they had some lovely Mass. oysters...If I wasn't crying I would have laughed out loud. I will be one of the 1st into Gourmet to see what they are all about.

The hardware storefront has been closed for business the entire four years, we've lived in town so we are excited to hear news of the Catonsville Gourmet's arrival. But what exactly will be coming to town? Hoping for something along the lines of an Eddies of Roland Park, are we off base?
Would love to hear more about it via this site. All good things take time, but is there an expected opening date?
Best wishes and welcome to a great town

We ate at Catonsville Gourmet last night, March 15 and it was wonderful. A great addition to Catonsville and we will be going back often.

We ate at Catonsville Gourmet and the meal was great. After eating we checked out the fresh food section and it was quite impressive with the fresh fish section. I wish I had not been so full and I could have bought something for dinner the next night, but it is well worth making another visit, both to the restaurant and the gourmet section. Looking forward to out next visit already.
Great job to all involved!!!!! SDC
